### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding value, grade A!
*by on Reviewed in the United States August 26, 2026*

I received my first knife in 1971 and was hooked. I've collected 350+ since including about 15 different Old Timer knives. My first fixed blade was an Old Timer Sharp Finger.Old Timer manufacturing moved to China in 2004 but the quality seems to have stayed the same as it was when their knives were still USA made. (except for the new Generational USA made series. Those are made for Schrade by someone else and firmly deserve the low ratings you'll see for them on Amazon)The current Old Timers are an outstanding value, especially the Heritage Series with D2 blades. I have the fixed blade Heritage as well. I consider that knife and this pocket knife to be two of the most beautiful knives in my collection.Fit and finish are impeccable with excellent materials. Blade opens and closes smoothly. The blade is made from D2, a popular choice for blades. D2 was introduced in England in 1947 for use in die making. Renowned for its edge retention and wear resistance in this capacity, D2 made its way to knife making in 1965 and has been popular ever since for the same reasons. This is an older style of pocket knife, not a flipper or assisted open but it's still fun to use. Edge retention testing went well with minor dulling but no chipping or edge rolling. Hardness tested at HRC 60.I almost feel guilty paying so little for such a nice knife. Please note: D2 is NOT a stainless steel and will rust. If you get the blade wet, take a sec to wipe it off. When not in use coat your blade with a fine film of oil, or wipe with Vaseline. If the blade does get rusty just soak it in apple cider vinegar, the rust will dissolve.Grumpy old guy seal of approval!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great knife!
*by on Reviewed in the United States June 7, 2024*

I bought this for my dad to have as a pocket knife. This does the trick nicely. This is a nice size - not too big nor too small. It comes sharp enough to easily meet what he uses it for throughout his every day - snipping loose strings off, opening packages, etc. Occasionally he will whittle with it and it is plenty sharp enough for that. It is comfortable to hold and feels high quality.Overall, this is a very nice knife at its price. It is traditional, has a nice lockback design, looks great, is comfortable to hold, and comes plenty sharp enough to handle everyday tasks.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice and sharp

What a cool little KNIFE shipping was fast, and well packed. Over all I was impressed with this old timer perfect size very sharp and the wood was excellent ever thing lined up no movement on blade at all , The back lock up works very good, It's great weight for pocket carrying and very easy to open and close and fantastic KNIFE overall. ...
