So [even if there is no low-battery warning] replacement is clearly very infrequent. The memory function is very handy, as it the fact that I can time 3 things at once. The display is bright and the batteries have still not run out despite being used nearly every day. The only thing that is a little annoying is turning the timer off when not in use. You have to press and hold the 'clear' button for a couple of seconds but this can also start the timer going again ! So it can take a number of attempts before the timer actually switches off.
