The swivel has two big advantages to me, first, it pivots up completely out of the way so your not dragging it in low clearance situations, and second, its really nice to not have to wind it all the way up or down every time it. You only need wind it enough to clear the ground then swing it up to the parallel position. Saves a lot of time and arm work if you use often. Very solid, operates smoothly, and the grease fitting is a nice bonus. It has four mounting holes but no mounting hardware. I had mine welded on.
