Very good motor.
This motor has a lot of torque. Using it to feed agates or petrified wood to be cut on a lapidary diamond saw. Works very well. Would buy again.

Great product
Been use for the last 3 years outdoors and still strong just a little noise now.

Weak and wobbly
Got the 10 RPM 12v. At 2A, it only puts out 1.1Nm of force. It has 2 degrees of backlash and the shaft wobbles horizontally as well. Much too weak and inaccurate for anything with robotics. Useful if you just need something cheap.

Used To Make Power Feed For The Cross Slide On My Small Metal Lathe
Used this motor along with a Pulse Width Modulation module I purchased to create a variable speed power feed for the cross slide on my 6 Inch Craftsman Metal Lathe. The motor when connected directly to a 12 volt DC power supply is quite powerful (lots of torque) and turns the cross slide screw on my lathe easily but at 10 rpm the speed is sometimes too fast which is why I added the pulse width modulation module. The module allows me to reduce the speed so it is much less than 10 rpm's easily. With the PWM module powering the motor the motor does not have as much torque and can sometimes stop turning if the speed is set quite slow and you hold the motor shaft by hand. It appears this is because of the module powering the motor as the PWM pulses will limit the current so the motor runs slower and not the fault of the motor. For my application this is perhaps a good thing as that way if something binds up the motor will stop turning rather than forcing something causing it to break. The motor appears to be a good unit and according to the supplier can be mounted either horizontally or vertically depending on your needs. I have been using the lathe for about three weeks to cut the tooth profile on some small steel change gears I am making for the lathe and so far the motor has worked great for slowly feeding the cross slide in and then also for moving the cross slide back out at a faster speed as I cut each tooth profile of the gear. I added a DPDT center off toggle switch to the circuit so the motor can be powered forward, stopped and then reversed as needed while using it.
