We worked with the author directly to have the perfect components for the electronic projects to work as he designed them. **Q: Does kit 2 have all required items for section 4 and 5? or does it assume you purchased kit 1 and have some items already.** A: The ProTechTrader Make: Electronics Third Edition Kits we make for Charles' Platt book does include all of the required basic components for all of the experiments in all 5 sections of the book. As you asked they are split into 2 kits for your convenience in purchasing and the Kit 2 does build upon Kit 1 meaning a few of the electronic components are reused to complete the experiments in Section 4 and Section 5. We also offer an Ultimate Kit 1 & 2 Deluxe Bundle with a Carrying Case that includes some of the common tools and upgraded components as suggested by author Charles Platt in the book. **Q: Which of the versions contain all the necessery chips?** A: Kit 1 has all of the necessary components to complete sections 1-3 in the 3rd edition of the book while Kit 2 has all the components required to complete sections 4-5.
