**Q: Is the ampacity of this 12G wire the same as "regular" wire, e.g. 20A at 120V, or is it less due to the heat dissapation issues?**
A: The AMPACITY is directly related temperature.....As the Temp rises the Amps it can carry decreases.. a #12 @122F can carry 55 AMPS, a #12 @212F can carry 44 AMPS, etc....If you purchase from us  at CASEY ELECTRIC SUPPLY we can include  the AMPACITY chart with your orderThanks, Chris

**Q: Hiw high is high, 200, 400, 600 F**
A: I used it in a smoker that didn't go over 300 degrees with out problems

**Q: Can it be used for powder coating oven heating elements**
A: I have only used it at about 200 degrees maximum in a drying oven. It has been in use for a few years with no issues.

**Q: Could I use this for swapping a section of speaker wire that gets hot under a fireplace mantle if I soldered it together?**
A: Yes you can use this wire but a thinner one
