Review: Great watch, if only it was actually new - I didn't take a star off like I almost did, because the watch itself is really good. Unfortunately, they sold me a used or returned watch and called it new. The main issue with that is when it's actually new, you need to remove a plastic tab to make battery start up. They do that because it extends battery life. This watch was next to the plastic holder in the box, not on it, rattling around the box with watch already running. So I'll need a battery much sooner, and I hope it's not damaged from the watch being loose in its box. I might keep it, or I might get my money back and buy it directly from timex website instead of desertcart. desertcart's price is way better, but then, it's not really new, so 🤮. I hope whoever had it first wasn't dirty or otherwise gross. The watch itself is nice. I was afraid it would look huge and manly, but it's not at all that way. Mine has dark brown leather and the black fabric strip in middle of strap part. The face is just big enough to read really easily. It definitely doesn't look manly at all. I love how it looks. The strap is nice, but in warm weather, my wrists and hands have a tendency to swell in heat, so I have to adjust the fit more often. Not a deal breaker, of course. But it's very comfy. I can wear it all the time (will take off to shower or swim), including wearing it to bed. I take meds, sometimes over night. I need to know the time, so I stay on schedule, and I don't want to turn on a bright light. The indiglo (I think that's the name) is great. Just enough light to see what I need to, clearly, but not blindingly bright. I also like how durable it's supposed to be. From now on, I'm sticking with timex for the durability, quality, and features. I'm replacing a very basic, cheapo casio. It was fine. Probably would have kept, but it didn't light up at all, and I discovered that was a very important feature for me. So, I wish they would give buyers the choice to buy used if wanted, and save brand new, not-worn or used, items for those who want and pay for new. TL/DR: was used or returned and had battery already running. A really nice watch with good features. Easy to read, and the light up feature is awesome. Great watch overall. If ordering it, you might want to let them know, if it's important to you, you don't want it to be used. Other than that one issue I love the watch and recommend it
Review: An attractive watch with a reasonable price tag - I only received my watch 2 days ago so I can only comment on the appearance: The face is clean and easy to read - no date which I prefer. The face of the watch I received is a little darker than the "off white" of the picture. I would describe the color as light beige. Size given is correct (26mm) about the size of a quarter. The case is metal and is a good weight - not too heavy for comfort, but no so light it slides around on your wrist. The hands are not luminous - the face of the watch lights up when you press the stem. I really find this feature very handy. It is an attractive casual watch. Just what I wanted. I would have given 5 stars but I don't like the band and I'm looking for a replacement. It is identified as "leather" but it's cheap leather and it's stiff. A dark brown which goes well with the face, but I don't like the fabric inserts and the stitching is a strange sort of light orange, however, it's all a matter of taste. Also the band is way too long for my small wrist another reason I'm checking out "short" bands. Over all I'm pleased and the price was extremely reasonable. This is my first Timex so I hope I got a reliable one and will check in later to give a short review. Sadly had to return this watch as it was erratic about keeping time! BUT after looking at many other watches and not being able to find one that was "just what I wanted" AND a reasonable price, and the right size for my small wrist - I ordered another! **Q: How wide is the watch face? Total outside measurement?**
A: From 9 to 3, including stem, 1-1/4 inches. From 12 to 6, 1 inch. This is a thick watch, by the way. It's a good 3/8-inch thick.

**Q: How hard is it to change the battery?**
A: I love this watch, but it is hard to change the battery because it is hard to get the back cover back on. I wish it had screws!  Many u-tube videos about how to get the back cover on, and none of them have worked easily for me.

**Q: How long is the band?**
A: The band, including the watch and the buckle is 9"

**Q: will this watch already be ticking when I receive it or do I start it?**
A: No it will not be ticking. There is a tab to pull out so you can set the time and set the watch and push the stem in. Then in starts working.

I didn't take a star off like I almost did, because the watch itself is really good. Unfortunately, they sold me a used or returned watch and called it new. The main issue with that is when it's actually new, you need to remove a plastic tab to make battery start up. They do that because it extends battery life. This watch was next to the plastic holder in the box, not on it, rattling around the box with watch already running. So I'll need a battery much sooner, and I hope it's not damaged from the watch being loose in its box. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well and looks great

I've had this watch a few months and really like it. It is very comfortable to wear and appears to have a solid build, not flimsy and cheap like some other watches at this price point. I wanted something for everyday wear that looked nice for work and casual but wasn't expensive so if it was damaged, it wasn't a big deal. The face is easy to read and is about the size of a quarter. The Indiglo feature works well and is very bright and easy to read in the dark. The watch hands are also luminous. It does NOT have a date feature but honestly, I didn't want it. Its not loud - you can hear the watch ticking only if you put it near your ear. I normally have metal watch bands so I wasn't sure I would like the leather and fabric band on this watch but I do - it is very comfortable. I have 6.5" wrists and there is room to adjust the band smaller or larger and the extra band fits in a second loop which can be moved but stays put once you adjust. I haven't really tested the water resistance other than a few splashes and briefly submerging it once. Overall, I'm very happy with this watch and would buy it again.
