They don't want you to know it's only 1.7Ah. The marketing says "50% more power" when compared to the DCB203 battery. But the DCB203 battery is 2.0Ah and this battery is 1.7Ah... which means this is SMALLER than the one it's supposed to have "50% more power" than. They don't want you know this. "50% more power" is basically an outright lie, but by a much more technical definition of "power", peak amperge/wattage output, it's likely true. But for consumers that doesn't matter. No one ever thinks about the peak amp output of their battery it's always enough. It's basically a lie but for legal purposes not quite a lie. This battery has the sleaziest marketing from DeWalt I've ever seen. **Q: Why doesn't it just say the amp hours in the description?** A: You might be less likely to overpay for this battery if they openly advertise that it has 15% less capacity than the DCB203. **Q: I can’t find Ah in produce description.** A: The battery's AH is 1.7 **Q: I checked price on 7 sites and found same $119. How did that happen? Are you all in collusion to set price?** A: Lol. Two possibilities seem more obvious. Either the prices retailers obtain them for are getting lowered with $119 msrp. As someone who uses Dewalt tools every single day for my construction job of high-end finish work in multi million dollar homes, this battery is perfect for my Dewalt drill and 1/4” impact driver, my Dewalt palm sander, my Dewalt atomic multi head drill, Dewalt jigsaw, both my Dewalt 3/8” and 1/2” drive cordless ratchets and all my Dewalt tools that pull less power. This isn’t powerful enough to run my sawzall for an extended period of time but it is perfect for my smaller tools due to its smaller size. It is more compact and lighter than the previous generations of comparable Dewalt batteries. The small size in addition to the higher power helps me work longer with less fatigue. If you need a battery that pulls more power for an extended period of time, for a bigger tool like my Dewalt rotary hammer drill, my Dewalt 1/2” impact wrench or grinder you would do better with the 5ah or bigger Dewalt battery.
