I used it to pick up leaves and I didn't have to bend over once. A great back saver. Review: Back Saver! - I love this this thing. Only used it once so far so can’t speak to longevity, but picking up three 30-gallon bags worth of pine needles did not leave my back in shambles the next day. My recommendation is use a regular rake to make the piles then use this to transfer them to the bags, can use the rake end to clean up the piles too. Worked great. Only possible complaint I have is that the handle on the back can rotate independently of the pole itself. I pick up piles of pine needles in the yard then rotate the rake 90 degrees to dump them into the yard bags (as the rate is at least as wide or wider than the bag, felt like this was the best way to get all the needles into the bag).
