I purchased this product for a simple, inexpensive, strictly amateur repair of a worn out area (probably from a clawing pet) on one side of a used sage green armchair that I inherited from a friend who was leaving the area. It looked even easier to use than the iron-on/bondex-type alternatives that need a firm backing behind the fabric being repaired to properly adhere with a hot iron. I just cut out a couple of pieces to the desired size & plastered them over the affected area, including both sides of a seam & the seam itself. Adhesive was very strong and looks good enough for personal use, w/o the worn-out area & stuffing behind it poking through, visible, & driving me nuts. Don't know how long the item will stay in place but it is not at a location on the armchair that will get much human contact, & there is more than enough product for repeat repairs.
