It does resolve the ounces to 1/100's of an ounce when in the ounce mode, and 1/10th of an ounce in the pound/ounce mode. It is extremely sensitive and repeatability is almost always perfect. I have compared it to known weights and found it to be extremely accurate. **Q: What is the weight range capacity for this scale?
