This particular product, however, is made in Germany. The "Westmark" brand implies it's made in WEST Germany, which of course doesn't technically exist anymore, but the stamping on the product is "W. Germany". **Q: Does it work on extra large olives** A: If the olive is larger than 3.5 cm (1-1/4") it won't fit in the device. I pitted some larger olives sideways; it worked, but left a larger, ragged hole in the fruit.
