How does it work? No instructions. Won't fit in my chamber.** A: Do you have a sheared 223 neck stuck in in your chamber? Unless thats whats wrong your rifle, it won't fit your chamber well just rattle around. I have had an ripped off 223 necks in a long time but when it does happen, its usually military reload. you can't crimp a neck that many times and expect the brass to stay intact. Usually rips in half but id say if i bout a tin of surplus reloads it happens 1 in 500 rnd tin. I started reloading myself many years ago but every once in awhile i shoot cheap stuff and when i get a broken case or shell this tool does the trick. Happened to me 3 times in 10 years. Ruined a camping trip for me so now I keep one in my bag at all times. **Q: Will it also work dor 5.56?** A: Yes, it works with 223 and 5.56. **Q: Think this would work on a Galil?** A: As long as its chambered in .223 rem or 5.56 NATO it should. **Q: Will this also work for 22 caliber rimfire?** A: The UTG .223 Broken Shell Extractor is caliber/cartridge specific. It won't work with the .22 rimfire. While caliber/cartridge specific, I imagine it MIGHT work with cartridges similar in size to the .223, like the .222 Rem. or maybe the .222 Rem. Mag. UTG and other manufacturers make these extractors to work with specific cartridges, and they offer a wide variety to handle whatever it is you're firing. However, I've never seen a broken .22 rimfire casing break off in such a way that you couldn't manage to find another method of getting it freed from your chamber.
