Review: Surprisingly good sound - Multipoint Connect - LDAC - Compatible with foam tips - Good for workouts - I was looking for universal, high-quality IEMs for travel (planes, trains, conference calls), and workouts at hotel gyms). My minimal list of requirements is quite elaborate and looks as follows: 1. Good sound quality. (I am a HiFi fan and own plenty of good, very expensive over-the-ear headphones, standalone DACs, and Headphone amps. I can evaluate sound quality well, and while I absolutely do not expect anything matching the quality of over-the-ear headphones that cost 10-30 times more, I also cannot tolerate substandard sound). (!) This includes support for higher-quality Bluetooth codecs like LDAC and/or aptX LE/Adaptive 2. Comfort, so you can wear these on the plane for several hours without issues. 3. Good fit, including during 20+ minutes running workouts, etc. I am annoyed if I need to readjust or reinsert the buds every 3-5 minutes. 4. Ability to switch to foam tips that fit and plug the ear canal much better imho. It's NOT just whether aftermarket foam tips fit the IEMs or not. Most IEM charging cases are so tight that bulkier foam tips simply do not fit in the box at all, and/or prevent stable charging. 5. Decent ANC, which is a must on planes, trains, and noisier environments. I do not need the best ANC, because it is always a tradeoff between sound quality and noise suppression. The best ANC typically means so-so sound. But it needs to make it possible to listen on the plane without setting the volume to its highest... 6. The last but not the least: Nowadays MULTIPOINT CONNECT IS A MUST for any IEMs that cost over $100. You do not want to manually disconnect the phones from one device and connect to another simply to take a call. You need it to be able to connect to multiple devices at a time, including your phone, PC, Chromebook, etc. Then it all gets much easier, either automatically, or you simply select/switch to the IEMs manually on the device of your choice. Given this long list, and after a long and tedious research I purchased Technics EAH-AZ60 IEMs, and I am quite happy. They check all the boxes on the list above, including Multipoint Connect, LDAC support, perfect fit with foam tips that fit inside the charging case, never having to readjust the IEMs during workouts, and above-average (actually, quite good) sound quality for this price range. Compared to Google Pixel Buds Pro the Technics EAH-AZ60 IEMs have noticeably better sound, but the case is somewhat bigger, and does not support wireless charging. Lack of wireless charging is probably the only negative I can mention, and it's not essential, especially while traveling... Highly recommended.
Review: Works well On a plane - I am comparing these to my apple AirPod pro and my Bose in ear headphones. I use my AirPods primarily for exercise as I can hear my text messages and respond. I use both my Bose and these for traveling. Because flights out of Hawaii will last 5 to 6 hours plus, I have both of these with me. The Techniques battery life is just about 5 1/2 hours on a full charge. The noise cancellation is good and will block out most surface noise on the plane. Connection to My iPhone is easy and no drop outs. Comes with 3 different size ear pieces so you can adjust accordingly. Controls are a little sensitive, so sometimes just brushing by the earpiece accidentally will pause the music. Sound quality compared to the Bose is almost same but I think these have a better bass tone. Sound quality compared to the AirPods is no competition. These are much better. For the price on a Prime deal, it was well worth it compared to paying close to $100 more for AirPods or the Bose. No issues with charging case. I can fully charge the earphones several times before case needs to be plugged in. Light on the outside will change from green to yellow to red to let you know when to recharge case. Phone calls connect easily and no problems with hearing my voice or hearing in coming calls. I’ve had these for about 6 months now. I use them almost daily when doing chores around the house and when outdoors cutting the grass with my lawnmower or weed eater.

**Q: How do I turn on Advanced Noise Cancellation?**
A: Touch and hold the touch sensor (R) for 2 seconds to switch between Noise Canceling mode and Ambient mode. Selected mode is announced. You can also use the Technics Audio Connect app to customize the ambient sound.

**Q: Noise Cancelling does not work or is not strong enough.**
A: A correct fit ensures proper noise cancelling and acoustics. Choose an earpiece size that fits snugly, and twist gently as you insert in your ear for a secure seal. Use the Technics Audio App to control external sounds and Noise Cancelling mode.

**Q: Can I switch my connection from one Bluetooth Device to another?**
A: Yes! Once you pair your AZ60 earbuds to your devices via Bluetooth (see User Guide) you can connect to your devices through the device settings or through the Technics audio app.

**Q: How do I utilize Touch Controls?**
A: Consult your User Guide for a full key of Touch Controls, including play/pause, voice assistant, receive/reject call, and track forward/back. You can also use touch control for turning the AZ60s on/off, noise cancelling, and ambient sound.

**Q: Why does one earbud have better battery life than the other?**
A: The earbud that is removed from the case first starts the Bluetooth pairing process with your devices which may result in a slightly shorter battery life.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Buds. 1. Caveat

These are some impressive earbuds. Sounds is amazing. These are the first pair of earbuds I've tried that the sound was great right or off the box. AKA their flat signature sound. Their eq pre sets are also nice the ANC Top tier, blocks out just about everything. Then when u add music. No outside noise creeps in. Ambient is good. I can hear well with music playing. They fit me well. To compare. I've tested a lot of earbuds. I've probably kept more than I should. I have and listen with Senheiser m2, soundcore liberty pro 2, and 3. Galaxy buds pro, Sony wp800. Also tested and returned the mw3? What ever, Jabra 75s. With the exception of the m2. These Technics notes the others away. And ask the others sound good to great. I mean I love the way the others sound. And use them. But now these and my Senheiser are my go to's. I've seen a couple of reviews on hear and YouTube saying these sound better than the m2. But not to me. But the M2s sound perfect to me. Maybe I just explored the fine tuning options more than some. Now to the Caveat. When u enable ANC. It thins out the sound a lil. I know a lot of buds do that. Example the liberty pro 3's. But it's slight and it adjust back some when fully enabled. But with the technics is more noticeable and doesn't smooth out like the pro 3 does. It's not a deal breaker to me. I got them and love them. And can enjoy with ANC Enabled. So what else can I say. One more thing. My galaxy pro buds sound use to change when u enabled ANC. The bass would be a lil boomier. But that changed with an update and now there's no difference. I hope Technic follow that route of continuing to improve these buds with future updates.
