A: The kit includes two screws to mount the template to the door or jamb.

**Q: Does this template work with a 1/4” shank router setup if I use my own bit?**
A: The router bit that comes with the 1222 HingeMate150 is a 1/4" shank, 1/2" cutting tip straight bit with ball bearing.  You can use your own bit, but it has to have a 5/8" bearing to guide the bit around the template and produce accurate results.
