I started with (and needed) the maximum absorbency Depends. They absorb an astonishing amount of fluid but are also pretty thick and not terribly comfortable at night. As matters have improved, I have now switched to the light absorbency pads, which are MUCH smaller and thinner than the maximum shields. They are, as one would expect, more comfortable and I've had no problem with slippage (I wear traditional cotton briefs). But they are really to guard against the occasional dribble.
