## Questions & Answers

**Q: How much of this is real oil vs. mineral oil? With the low price, I'm guessing that there is very little lemon oil.**
A: In response to Francine ( 5years ago, but still...) This product is actually 90-100% MINERAL OIL, which IS a petroleum distillate. I don't know if maybe Francine meant to say there is no LEMON OIL, which is true, but there is MINERAL OIL. It's actually very similar to baby oil, it seems, with just a different fragrance. There are warnings about ingesting baby oil too. Mineral oil isn't toxic itself, but there is danger of aspiration pneumonia if it is ingested.

**Q: This item is less than $4 in the stores, why are you charging so much? Guess I'll drive over to Target**
A: I live 120 miles from the nearest Target so that is why I order it from Amazon. I live in a rather remote area. And apparently a lot of people who take care of the wood in their homes don't ask for this in any store closer to me. Therefore I order it from Amazon.

**Q: does it come in a glass or plastic bottle?**
A: Plastic bottle

**Q: How do you use it? mix with water?**
A: Hi -- Do not mix with water -- this product is ready to use -- apply the product to the rag and use on your wood surface. Thanks for the inquiry.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for restoring wood
*by on Reviewed in the United States July 13, 2026*

This lemon oil works really well on my wood furniture. It brings back the shine, removes dull spots, and leaves everything looking refreshed. The scent is light and pleasant, and a little goes a long way. Great product for keeping wood looking its best.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than the aerosol sprays, and at a much lower cost
*by on Reviewed in the United States January 29, 2026*

I will admit that I got seduced away from good old-fashion furniture polish in a bottle by the convenience of aerosol sprays, but I have finally seen the light and come back. This furniture polish does a better job than anything you can simply spray and wipe - and at a fraction of the cost. This one bottle will last me for years, even with lavish use. The few seconds I saved by using the sprays is just not worth it.Old English gives a warm, deep shine, a sweet lemony smell and a glow that only comes from a real furniture polish. And as an added bonus, a quick buff in between polishings will quickly shine up my furniture - the aerosol sprays never did that for me - so maybe they really didn't save me as much time and effort as I thought they did...I also have the satisfaction of knowing I am not spritzing all sorts of unknown propellants into the air in my home (and the environment in general), so I have to say this is a win any way you look at it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent for conditioning vintage hardwood (Not veneer particle board)
*by on Reviewed in the United States January 17, 2026*

Great stuff and very easy to apply. I just recently came into the possession of a hardwood table and chair set so I kissed them with a little bit of this to condition the wood to a really nice result. As an amateur guitar technician, I feel obliged to mention, if you're eyeing this for your guitar, just buy a bottle of Dunlop, MusicNomad, or other specialized brand as that way you can guarantee you're getting pure mineral oil with fretboared-safe additives. This is great for any other wood, but for a guitar it's just not worth the risk of damaging your fretboard over time (especially if it's an expensive wood like rosewood!). This will do in a pinch, but better safe than sorry, hey? And, do not use any kind of oil on a maple fretboard as it's almost always finished, and that way, madness lays. :)
