## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I connect active (powered) speakers to this unit?**
A: Only to the passive outputs on the front panel. DO NOT connect powered speakers to the powered outputs on the back of the mixer. If you're not 100% sure you know what you're doing, consult someone who dose.

**Q: The emx5 has no gain knob, how are you going to adjust the input signal?**
A: There is a overall gain on each of the two input areas. You will need to adjust the microphone input and the music input to what you like then adjust the overall gain on the far right to gain more volume.

**Q: I'm setting up a Karaoke system for the wife. Is this a good add on?**
A: I have no knowledge about karaoke specifically; but as powered mixers go, the EMX2 is an extremely good piece of equipment.

**Q: Can i plug in a 1000 watts passive speakers on this?**
A: It truly depends on what you mean by thousand watt speakers. if that means thousand watt peak then you can easily run those speakers, if it is thousand watt continuous the EMX7 is going to be able to run them just not at extremely high volumes likely.
