I'd say the 2" size is best for people with smaller hands, namely children and smaller adults. The 2.5" size is great for people with larger hands. As a fidget toy, the 2" cube is best in my opinion, but who can deny the immense heft of the 2.5" cube? I can reach out and pick up the 2", but struggle a little if I'm reaching across my desk to pick up the 2.5" cube. My only non-complaint is the sturdiness of the stand.
