I originally bought 2 of these for some fans that didn't have remotes. I get hot and cold off and on through the night (hot flashes are...fun lol) and getting in/out of bed all the time was becoming miserable. Battery life has been GREAT. As mentioned, I use this for a fan, my hot flashes have been a bear lol, I cycle every 15 min. from hot to freezing all through the night so about every 15-20 min. through the night i am turning the fan off and on, I have had this for months doing that, and still have not had to replace the battery in the remote. If my elderly mom needs my dad when he's in the garage working or in the middle of the night sleeping in his room, my mom can just hit the switch on the remote on and off and the lamps will go on and off telling my dad she needs him.
