Wiring was not, a couple changes and it worked great. **Q: Anyone know the if the jack is 1.5mm or smaller?** A: the jack only two kinds,one is 3mm,other is 1.5mm,you can used ruler to check the size. **Q: Will this power a 2A4Life safe?** A: yes **Q: Will this battery backup work for an edge safe?** A: It worked great to power up my Sentry Card Swipe safe. Look in the owner’s manual (I found mine online) to see if/where the headphone-looking plug can fit in an edge safe.
