It has a story that is pretty good, a cast of characters I fell in love with, an epic character creation system, and hundreds of weapons and armor to buy and forge. This JRPG is subbed, which means the voices are in Japanese and the subtitles English. Once played you'll appreciate the Japanese voices, as the game is centered in a Japan like land called Yokohama. The oni are fun to slay and seriously require strategy and team work in order to take down. There are various fighting styles to learn and master I stood with 2 and mastered them, but you can use any style throughout the 35+ hour campaign. The gameplay is addictive and has strategy, such as the demon hand, choosing the right allies, weapons, armor, and mitama. The open world is huge and the land varies I was sure to be weary of lands with high miasma which is an instant KO. I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It's one that is unforgettable and one of a kind. BUT AMAZON, where is my pre-order bonuses? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Game! *by D***N on October 12, 2017* This game is great. It takes the "Monster Hunter" style of things in a bit of a new direction with how story-focused it is and with the addition of the Demon Hand mechanic. It's super fun to play solo and online both. I will say that Monster Hunter veterans will probably find this game somewhat lacking in the difficulty department however. It's not a terribly hard game if you've already cut your teeth on Monster Hunter Freedom Unite or MHTri. Still, I love this game to pieces. It's got a great story, lovable characters (Tsubaki and Tokitsugu are two of my personal favorites), and great gameplay. If you've got a monster-hunter kind of itch that you need to scratch until MHWorld comes out, look no further than this game. I also want to add that I really disliked the previous Toukiden games.
