I was out this morning and caught three fish in three hours with it: a pickerel, the world's largest bluegill, and (wait for it) a 20-inch largemouth bass. I'm not a particularly good fisherman; I've only recently picked up the hobby. However, I found this lure very easy to jerk and dance, adding action to the retrieve, which leads to more strikes. It floats up slowly when you stop retrieving, and only dives to about a foot down at top speed, so between the relatively shallow depth and its lip, it's also pretty good at avoiding weeds. But most importantly: it moves great, it looks realistic, you can make it dance, and it catches fish! Review: Not legal everywhere - Rapalas are amazing lures, but check your local regulations. It's a pain to replace hooks if you're fishing in a stream that only allows single barbless hooks. Most success I had with this lure was by hooking a bit of a worm on it. I won’t a friendly youth tournament one time and this is all I used. caught 14 in like 3 hours. This one the brown one and the black one stay are a must when fishing ponds and creeks. Keep the hooks sharp and you you might loose one every 15 bites lol. That’s what kept me from sinking a linker later that evening.
