I made it yesterday and it is pretty good. It's rather dense, as opposed to the fluffy way some bread is. But it does the job to address the craving and keep me on track. I was concerned from some of the reviews I had read about a fishy smell, but that didn't happen. I wish the people who reported the fishy smell had shared which oil they used. I chose olive oil. But do recall buying a brand of avocado oil earlier this year that didn't smell very good and it was only the one bottle. The avocado oil before and since then has had almost no scent. That made me wonder which oil the people who reported a fishy smell were using.This is not exactly the same as the bread I've had all my life. But I could get used to this. I haven't tried it as toast yet. I have wondered if I could make crackers with thin slices of this bread with the machine I bought to make dried fruit. That might be interesting to experiment with - using various seasonings. But this mix is expensive so I couldn't afford to throw away too many mistakes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A nice, paleo, nut-free bread option *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 19, 2017* Attempt # 1: I made the mistake of asking my husband to make the first loaf while I was out. He followed the instructions but decided to use ghee instead of oil and not melt it first. The loaf came out flat and inedible. Suffice to say it’s not entirely fool proof.Attempt #2: I gave it a go, using olive oil this time. Lo and behold, a nicely risen loaf emerged. Once cut open, the coloring is a bit ombré, I think because I used a dark/non-stick pan. So next time I’ll try reducing the oven temperature. However, the texture is nice and fluffy, like store-bought sandwich bread and crusty on the outside. The smell is almost fishy though, I think maybe because of the potato starch. I’m willing to overlook this though, as this is the first bread I’ve had in months.Overall, as a paleo-diet-eating, nut-allergic person, I’m just happy to have some passable bread back in my life. I’ve also seen several Instagram posts on how to use the mix to make other exciting things.
