Review: A Great Book for Kids to #ChooseKind! - I had heard about the book and movie Wonder when they came out but I didn't know much about them. My kids' school is reading Wonder together as a project to choose kindness. My twins are in 4K so they are reading this book instead and I decided to buy one for us to have at home. I haven't yet read Wonder but it's next on my pile of books to read so I can't compare the books as of this point. My twins are five and both said they love this book! It's a beautiful picture book about Auggie, a boy who was born a bit different from other kids but he wants to be accepted for who he is. The pictures are beautiful and the story encourages young children to think about the importance of being kind to everyone which is a great concept to begin early in life! We've read this book a number of times already and my kids really pay attention to it while I'm reading it to them. Kids may have questions about the story so it's important for parents to help explain it. He loved it! My mom read it as well and she loved it. I wanted to share the story with my 3 year old niece and my students (3 year old class). Such a wonderful message and this version is perfect for them to sit through the reading and understand. I bought this copy for my sister to share with her 3rd grade class. This is a great teaching tool that I would reccommend!
