ABOUT THIS BARBIE: Barbie makes a rare appearance in black -- rich black velvet cut on the bias to flow like liquid with every move. Golden holographic swirls embrace her gown from top to hem, and embellish her cape. Colorful sequins glitter on her spectacular earrings and bodice, while a sequin hair ornament holds her ultra long hair in a dramatic twist. With her unusual lavender eyes and beauty mark, Barbie is absolutely breathtaking! ABOUT ARTIST ABBE J. LITTLETON: Abbe Littleton drew her first fashion sketch when she was only three, and designed her own clothes during her teens. She then went on to college and fashion design school, where she won one of the school's highest awards. Abbe worked in several design firms before coming to Mattel in 1983, where she's been designing for Barbie ever since and enjoying every minute. Where does she get her ideas? From fashion magazines, concerts, the theatre and ballet, but mostly from the beautiful things she loved as a child.
