I weighed it because it “felt” a lot heavier than the specs. This will not be fun carrying around for a hunt, but great used in a stationary stand. This is my first time using a tripod, and it works very well, every bit as good as bench rest shooting. The benefits of its weight is that this is a well made, stout tripod. No flexing and very stable. My scales show it at 8 1/2 pounds, so it’ll be like carrying a second rifle around. I think the graphite model is a pound lighter, but 1 less pound isn’t going to make that much a difference (I wouldn’t think). Even with the weight, it’s a keeper for me (just because it works so well). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Tripod *by on Reviewed in the United States October 10, 2026* This is an excellent tripod for me. I have ARCA rails on my rifles so it works very well with the ARCA mount. Can use with several of my rifles and those without ARCA can use the standard clamp. Holds very steady and doesnt flex much at all. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great tripod. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not as heavy as you would think *by on Reviewed in the United States June 10, 2026* I haven’t seen a whole lot about the actual weight of this tripod, so I figured I would share.I’ll start by saying, this is referencing the aluminum infinite with the death grip. You can use this tripod with the grip or hooked straight to an arca rail.At ~250 that was paid for this, it’s the best deal you’ll find on an infinite with the grip as well.Total weight of this tripod with the grip included was 8lb 4.5 Oz measured on my kitchen scale. Sure, it’s a tad heavy. But where this tripod really shines is when you take the death grip off and just use the straight arca hookup. The grip alone weighed in at 1 lb 14.3 oz. That leaves the tripod WITHOUT the grip head just under 6.5 pounds, which is very reasonable.Overall this tripod is very nice and versatile, and I would definitely recommend it for someone who wants a solid tripod at a reasonable price. Think twice before you spend the extra $ on the carbon, especially if you plan on going straight arca to it. ## Frequently Bought Together - BOG DeathGrip Infinite Carbon Fiber Tripod with Heavy Duty Construction, 360 Degree Ball Head, Quick-Release Arca-Swiss Mount System, and Optics Plate for Hunting, Shooting, Glassing, and Outdoors - BOG M-LOK Arca-Swiss Tripod Plate with Durable, Lightweight Construction, Fits Standard M-Lock Forends/Adapters for Hunting, Bird Watching, Outdoor Photography - SHINEWEE Arca Dovetail Rail for M-LOK System – Quick-Release Tripod Mount Adapter | Compatible with Arca-Swiss/RRS Standards | Lightweight Aluminum Hunting Accessory | 2-Slot Interface --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/409334312-infinite-carbon-fiber](https://www.desertcart.at/products/409334312-infinite-carbon-fiber) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
