The lift is only 15.25". That surely sounds like false advertising to me. I'm 6'7" and bought this because the advertised lift was higher than the Varidesk. The edge cover to laminate edge is sharp and needed softening. The price went up 15% overnight just when I was looking at it. That said, my long teleconference today was better standing. We'll see how it handles a few cycles per day for a year or so... ### ⭐⭐⭐ Black color isn't really black but a dark grey speckled laminate. *by J***. on Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2018* This is the second VersaDesk I've ordered. The first one is black and white and the white finish is shiny and nicely done. Now this second one said it was black but it isn't. It's a speckled laminate of a dark dark grey and a slightly matte finish. I would have bought another black and white desk had I known but I will probably repaint it in the near future.
