Boker’s were famously the preferred brand of Professor Jerry Thomas, featuring throughout his book, ‘How to Mix Drinks or The Bon Vivant’s Companion’; now recognised as the World’s first bartender’s guide. Despite being unequalled when used in the refined drinks of the bar, the devastating effect of The Volstead Act, commonly referred to as Prohibition, closed the Boker’s company in the 1920s. Tasting and analysing original samples, referencing historical medical guides, as well as unearthing court records and a series of counterfeit recipes dating as far back as 1853, I used these findings to reformulate a historically accurate representation of Boker’s Bitters and brought them back to market at the end of 2009. With their return Boker’s have regained their rightful place and are again being used globally by bartenders in classics such as the Japanese Cocktail, Martinez, Crusta and Improved Cocktail, as well as a multitude of new libations from this second Golden Age of mixology. ## Features - Our faithful reformulation of one of the finest bitters from the first golden age of mixed drinks in the 1800s - Nose: Eucalyptus-pine and cardamom woody nose. - Taste: Intensely bitter with cardamom, coffee and orange. - Finish: Seemingly everlasting bitter finish with hints of coffee. - Compounded with botanicals including Dried orange peel, Green cardamom pods, Catechu, Quassia bark, Star anise, Cloves, Angelica Root ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B008VD6SF4 | | Age Range (Description) | Adult | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #86,140 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ( See Top 100 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ) #178 in Cocktail Bitters | | Brand | Dr. Adam Elmegirab's | | Brand Name | Dr. Adam Elmegirab's | | Container Type | Bottle | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 119 Reviews | | Each Unit Count | 1 | | Flavor | Orange, Cardamom, Star Anise, Cloves | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Volume | 100 ml | | Item Weight | 14.2 g | | Liquid Contents Description | Cocktail Bitters | | Manufacturer | Dr. Adam Elmegirab's | | Model Number | 98265 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Package Size Name | 100 ML | | Part Number | 98265 | | Product Shelf Life | 730 days | | Special Ingredients | Dried orange peel, Green cardamom pods, Catechu, Quassia bark, Star anise, Cloves, Angelica Root | | Specialty | natural, vegan, vegetarian | | Sweetness Description | unsweetened | | UPC | 640522786411 847808000333 | | Unit Count | 3.38 Fluid Ounces | ## Images ![Boker's Bitters 100ml - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51g+zJqi0EL.jpg) ![Boker's Bitters 100ml - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71s9cJWXdlL.jpg) ![Boker's Bitters 100ml - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71whfM+QLpL.jpg) ![Boker's Bitters 100ml - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71SQVlP4ihL.jpg) ![Boker's Bitters 100ml - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/713ktAY0XdL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Flavor** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Dr. Adam Elmegirab's Boker's Bitters 100ml - Bittermens Xocolatl Mole Bitters, 5oz - For Modern Cocktails, An Original Combination of Cacao, Cinnamon and Spice - Bittermens Elemakule Tiki Bitters, 5oz - For Modern Cocktails, A Taste of the Islands; Mix in Tiki Drinks as Well as Cocktails Made with Dark Spirits --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/410318530-bokers-bitters-100ml](https://www.desertcart.at/products/410318530-bokers-bitters-100ml) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
