Review: Nice, easy to use kitchen timer - We recently bought the CDN TM30 Direct Entry 2-Alarm timer based on price, features and what the reviews had to say. I had also bought a 2nd timer from PC, that has the ability to set 4 timers at once. Their new timer doesn’t retain the set time. It has to be input every stinkin time, even if you use it for the same time every day. I got so disgusted with having to do that, so I bought 2 more CDN timers. Very reliable, & the numbers on the 7 year old timer are very much intact. My deaf husband always says the volume is too low, but I find it loud enough.

**Q: Is there a memory function?  For example, if I set the timer for 60 seconds, then hit stop once it runs down, will it go back to 60 seconds?**
A: The timer stores your last timer entry, even after it goes off, until you physically hit the "Clear" button to remove it. In other words, if you set it for 5 minutes, you will hit "Stop/Start" to stop the alarm going off. After doing so, the timer still retains the 5 minute setting and the next time you need to time something for 5 mins, all you have to do is hit "Stop/Start" again. If you need a different amount of time set, you would simply hit "Clear" to reset it completely to a new time.

**Q: Can this be set for less than a minute (seconds)**
A: Yes, if you only enter 2 digits, they will be seconds. If you enter 100, that will be 1 minute, 15900 will be 1 hour 59 minutes.

**Q: so i bought this timer and assumed 2-alarm meant i could set two timers, am i wrong? or does that refer to either a beep or vibrate alarm?**
A: The title description is misleading.  You'd think Amazon would do a better job and avoid the customer frustration when they find out you CAN'T set 2 alarms.  It has only ONE alarm, which can be either a beep or a vibration.

**Q: what type/size battery does this use?**
A: Believe it requires 2 AAA batteries. Will need to double check.

We recently bought the CDN TM30 Direct Entry 2-Alarm timer based on price, features and what the reviews had to say. So far, this timer is exactly what we needed. The direct numbers make it very easy to key in the amount of time you need, the beep is quite audible, the timing is spot-on. - Ease of use scores 100%. No complicated up and down arrows or flimsy rubber buttons. You punch in the time using the highly tactile plastic buttons and press Start. No instructions needed. It will also count up so you can use it to keep track of time spent on projects. - Uses a single AAA battery (included) and not one of those button batteries that all look alike and you never have the right replacement size. - Comes with a click open stand that allows it to sit at a nice angle on a counter top. It also has a magnet on the back that could be a bit stronger but I'm not really a stick-up kind of guy. - What is meant by “2-Alarm Timer”? This product has two different alarms types to choose from. One alarm is audible and the other vibrates like on a cell phone. Some, including myself, have interpreted this to mean a two-event timer which initially put me off from purchasing my first one. - If you are tempted to purchase a timer that lets you time multiple events - don't. Why complicate your life? At this price you are better off buying more than one of these quality timers. I have two and thinking about getting one more. Bottom Line: Buy it and you'll be happy you did.
