This is a very strong and sturdy mold and doesnt bend when filled to the brim with heavy cement. The turtle stones came out easy with a little tapping. We used Quickcrete concrete mix, 4000 PSI and we reinforced it with shredded fiber glass that we bought on desertcart. We used 12 dry rough cups of quickcrete (approx) and slowly dripped in about 4-5 cups of water while mixing it. We scooped it in and patted it down until all of the mold was covered. Let dry inside our house for 18 hrs before removing from mold. Then continued to let it dry for another 12 hrs. We are in Fl and its hot and muggy so drying in the AC is much more efficient. We reused the mold 7 times and it held up perfectly Review: Better than I thought it would be - Way better quality than expected. The mold is very sturdy and well made. I was surprised as I thought it would be a thin flimsy material and it's not. The turtle details are awesome. Came out exactly as shown! TIP FOR ARMS- LET DRY fully like 48 hours before taking outside. I was able to demold after 24 hours as recommended, but the arm broke due to Texas heat. I can see it was still drying in that spot on the inside. Molds are manufactured in Ukraine. **Q: I heard that spraying the inside of the mold is tat the key to getting it out in one piece? I long should l wait to try and get the turtle out?** A: Getting the concrete mix just right is key and then letting it fully dry in the sun before taking it out. It will break if there are spots that are not fully dry. We put them in full sun and waited at least 12 hours and we used quick dry concrete. **Q: Can you imprint names on the mold?** A: I didn’t. But I suppose you could if you put your letters in the mold before you put in the cement. It would be difficult but you could give it a few tries . . . It is very sturdy and well made. I have made three turtles so far and they have all come out great! I wipe it down with vegetable oil and they slide right out. It takes me about 16 heaping cups of mortar mix to fill them. I also use chicken wire to give them more strength and have had no problems with the feet or head breaking. I lay the chicken wire over the mold and cut it to shape so that there is wire throughout the entire turtle rather than just the head and feet. I wait roughly 24 hours before taking them out of the mold. I make sure to clean it right after I take the turtle out. My only minor complaint (and this has nothing to do with the mold) is that no matter how much shaking and dropping I do, I cannot get all of the air bubbles out.
