Follow directions. You can use a very light scratch guard pad. Bought on Amazon. They are the thin white pads. And wipe with soft white cloth with a little water to wipe clean. **Q: will this work for seats with holes for cooling? It won't fill the holes with goop?** A: Yes it works and doesn't clog the pores in the seats. I wouldn't over saturate the seats with the cleaner. **Q: Is this suitable for alcantara seats?** A: NoIt's for leather covering only. However, my Cayman is in the garage when not being driven, so I leave the windows open at home. The next time I got behind the wheel, I didn't notice any scent. Useful hint: use it and give it some time to dry. If you hop right in after using it, I think it might stain your clothing. I didn't do it, but I worry it could happen.
