I thought mine died after almost five years. But, it turns out nothing was wrong with it. The reason it quit working ended up being related to the car battery going bad. Thanks to some great customer support and their trouble shooting suggestions it’s working again.The Window Valet won’t work if the windows have not been “indexed.” The window indexing procedure must be performed on the C6 Corvette after a loss of battery power, such as when the battery is replaced. However, I found out that the battery voltage can be pulled low enough to lose indexing by an attempt to start the engine on a battery that is weak or heavily discharged. This can erase the memory of the computer related to window indexing in the same way that a disconnected battery will. So, if yours quit working, try repeating the window indexing procedure, even if you have not disconnected the battery. ### ⭐ Dangerous Gadget *by H***B on February 10, 2017* Does what it is supposed to do; and then some. Wife got into the car; it refused to start. After trying the second FOB; same problem: would not start and locked her in. An hour later tried again and both FOBs worked; car started without a problem. I'm taking the gadget out and tossing it.Fortunately all this happen in our driveway, in a gated community; thankfully not in some Wallmart parking lot. ### ⭐⭐ While I liked it when it was working (for about 1 year) *by D***P on June 2, 2016* While I liked it when it was working (for about 1 year), it stopped working. I call Top Down Tech and I get Voicemail...I leave messages and I get NO returned calls. Don't believe me, google the Instructions for the Windows Valet and call the phone number for the company. Don't leave a message that you want to buy one, and see if they answer or return your calls BEFORE YOU BUY. I loved mine but I can't get it working and I get no support (left hanging). Sad. I would change this review if they helped me, I would be thrilled to.
