Compact, foldaway drying rack with 25m drying space and 8 hooks. Adjustable wings and stainless steel make it a versatile, space-saving indoor laundry solution.

Review: An exceptionally sturdy, spacious and well-designed drying rack - The Brabantia HangOn Drying Rack is a standout example of how even a simple household essential can be engineered to a high standard. From the first use, it feels solid, stable and thoughtfully designed - everything you’d expect from Brabantia. The construction is excellent. The stainless steel frame gives it a reassuringly robust feel, with none of the wobble or flex you often find in cheaper alternatives. Once unfolded and locked into position, it stands firm even when fully loaded with heavier items like towels or jeans. The joints and hinges feel well made, and the finish is smooth and clean throughout. In terms of capacity, it’s generous. The 25 metres of drying space is ample for a full family wash, yet the design still feels compact and efficient. The height and wing configuration make it easy to hang longer items without them touching the floor, and there’s enough room to space garments apart for faster drying. When not in use, it folds down neatly and can be stored easily against a wall or behind a door. The folding mechanism is smooth and requires little effort, and the built-in locking clip keeps everything secure during storage. The metallic grey finish looks smart - more contemporary than most drying racks - and it blends well with modern interiors. It’s both practical and visually unobtrusive, which is rare for a piece of laundry equipment. Overall, this is an excellent product: sturdy, well-proportioned, and clearly built to last. For anyone looking for a dependable indoor drying rack with plenty of capacity and a refined appearance, the Brabantia HangOn is hard to fault.
Review: Durable and Sturdy Build - Having recently purchased the Brabantia HangOn Laundry Drying Rack in the sleek Matt Black finish, here’s my breakdown of its strengths and weaknesses as an owner: Pros: Ample Drying Space in a Compact Design: With 25 meters of drying space, this rack offers plenty of room for multiple loads of laundry without taking up too much floor space. I was able to hang everything from T-shirts to towels in one go, making it perfect for small to medium households or for drying larger items. Stylish, Modern Aesthetic: The matt black finish gives the drying rack a contemporary look that blends well in any room. It's more stylish than the typical white or metallic racks and looks much less intrusive if you leave it out between laundry days. Adjustable and Foldable for Versatility: The adjustable wings make it easy to customize the layout based on the size and type of clothing I’m drying. When it’s not in use, the rack folds down smoothly and is compact enough to store in a closet or behind a door, making it ideal for small spaces. Durable and Sturdy Build: This Brabantia rack is impressively sturdy. It holds a considerable amount of laundry without bending or feeling wobbly, even when loaded with heavier items. The quality metal construction feels like it will last for years, so I feel confident that it’s a good investment. Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Choice: Brabantia’s commitment to sustainability is an added bonus. Knowing the rack is made with high-quality, sustainable materials and comes with a solid warranty makes it even more appealing. Cons: Price Point: The HangOn Laundry Rack is a bit pricier than some other drying racks on the market. Although the quality and design justify the cost, it may be over budget for those looking for a more basic, no-frills option. Not Ideal for Large Households: While it offers decent drying space, it might fall short for larger families with high laundry demands. It’s excellent for singles, couples, or small families, but those with extensive laundry needs may still require an additional rack or drying solution. Limited Outdoor Use: This rack is primarily designed for indoor use. Although it could be used outside in fair weather, the matt black finish and metal parts might be prone to fading or rust if left outdoors regularly. It’s best to bring it inside when not in use. Setup Takes Some Space When Extended: Although the rack folds down compactly, when fully extended, it does take up a fair amount of floor space, especially with the wings open. If space is tight, this can be a bit of an issue, particularly in smaller rooms or apartments. Overall Verdict: The Brabantia HangOn Laundry Drying Rack is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a stylish, high-quality indoor drying solution. It’s compact yet spacious, durable, and versatile, making it well-suited for modern homes where both function and aesthetics matter. The higher price may be a drawback for some, but its sturdiness and design make it worth the investment for smaller households. Just keep in mind the limitations with outdoor use and larger laundry needs, and this rack should serve you well for years.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Airer
*by C***S on 30 November 2022*

Like many in current times, I am refusing to use the tumble dryer. We are lucky enough to have a low energy dehumidifier with a laundry setting. So, in recent months I have set myself the task of finding the perfect airer to use alongside it and I have gone through a few, which is a shame, as they were wastes of money. I should have just bitten the bullet and purchased this one, as although it was expensive, in the long run I'd have saved myself about £80 in airers that just weren't as good! This does not take up much floor space, but gets more on it. It is easy to open and I like the fact that you can place washing on the bottom of it, but it is high enough that unlike the last one I tried, washing doesn't drag onto the carpet. I also like the fact that the arms are able to be placed in many different ways. I tend to use it with them fully up, as it fits where I have it, but you can have them so they are lower down if required. It seems sturdy, which had been a concern and although I haven't tried it, I know I could get more than one load of washing on it. I tend to put one on and space it out, as I find that it then dries quicker. It takes up little room when folded down and I have it stored behind the door in our back bedroom when not in use. I am a big fan of this companies products and they must feel confident with this as it is offered with a 5 year warranty. This has been christened Betty the Bat airer, as the way I have it up, it does remind me of a bat flying! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to others.
