Review: Better than a shoot-through umbrella, easier to handle - For real estate photos, diffused lighting is a must to get accurate color and dynamic range. I had been using a shoot through umbrella, which does work pretty good. But dragging that thing around a house was annoying (and ended up accidentally in several shots). This diffuser provides a very similar light diffusion is a very easy-to-handle package. Even with the diffuser mounted on my speedlite, it still fits into a tool pouch on my belt. It has greatly simplified my shooting process!

I recently shoot a wedding using this diffusion dome and it was a game changer. It allowed me to greatly reduced the need to calculate bounced and indirect light, it just provided universal soft light with perfect exposure every time. Of course there are times when you may want a directed light source, but for run and gun or when you don't have the ideal venue for bounce flash this is the flash modifier that you need.
