I have asthma so i'm looking for the one that will work best** A: Well I have the O2 trainer and I've researched some comparison videos if you have asthma probably both are gonna give you a little bit of trouble but I saw on one of the videos that the elevation training mask makes it difficult to breath out which according to bass rutten O2 trainer video isn't as conducive to your training one of the positives about the mask though however is that you don't have to wear the nose clamp thingy on the O2 trainer on the higher levels you WILL have to in order for it to work at it's optimum capacity. I hope this was helpful -Cheers **Q: Would this be comparable to just breathing thru your nose?** A: On the 1st 3-4 air hole sizes, yes, but then as you go smaller and smaller, it gets harder and harder. Level 12 is basically a giant pin hole. Also, because I can hear myself breathing, I find it easier to regulate my breathing and make sure my breaths are equal and smooth, which helps a lot too. **Q: What's the highest elevation it allows?** A: This product is not related to elevation. Listen to bas rutten himself talk about it, how and when he came up with it, and what it done for himself and many others. **Q: Why is there 2 different models? Is one older than the other? The more squared one looks like it has a better case and better made** A: Hello , We only carry the model as in the picture . This is available in Blue and green . The squared one was an older model and the new one with the round caps is the latest model . The mouthpiece is improved and the overall usage is better . ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ increible *by R***Z on 1 December 2018* efectivo en la montaña a mas de 4500 mtssnm ### ⭐ Review *by A***R on 24 March 2024* Super waste ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Measured Athletic and Energy Results - Beyond Expectation *by E***N on 3 December 2023* With just 3 weeks of consistent use (4-5 days per week) I have experienced significant and unexpected positive effects from this device. Benefits include immediate calm right after use, which facilitates my morning meditation with more initial relaxation. As the Taoist's say: "Amateur meditators meditate to relax, professional meditators relax to meditate" - the O2 Trainer enables the relaxation effect for me right away. Second, the energy that I am experiencing throughout my day is significantly increased with use as well; definitely an increased skip in my step. I understand this is a contribution to my already athletic lifestyle and that I've been a serious athlete and healthy eater my whole life. (I'm 58 years old). My main sport for the last 35 years has been inline speed skating and for about 9 months of the year I'm skating about 50-60 miles per week. One thing I noticed since starting to train with the O2 Trainer is that I can breath more comfortably through my nose for the majority of my skate. This is significant as I've been working on this technique for years without any significant improvement. Today I skated in 45 degree weather in upstate NY and was mostly breathing out of my nose the whole time and felt like my stamina has found something I've been missing. Looking forward to increased benefit with continued use.
