Review: Perfect solution...update - I was building a new gaming computer into an older case...the new motherboard did not have enough USB2 sockets to accommodate all of the case front I/O...this adaptor allowed me to convert an extra MB USB3 socket into 2 USB2 ports for the front panel connections...worked great...quality excellent...only complaint (reason for 4 star overall rating) is that it was not perfectly clear from the new USB2 connector on the adaptor which way to orient the two mating USB2 connectors - I made an educated guess and it worked okay...hopefully, someone turning the connectors around will not break anything on the motherboard... Update: After thinking about it later, I realized that there is only one way to connect the adaptor to the MB USB connector, so changing my rating from 4 to 5!

I was building a new gaming computer into an older case...the new motherboard did not have enough USB2 sockets to accommodate all of the case front I/O...this adaptor allowed me to convert an extra MB USB3 socket into 2 USB2 ports for the front panel connections...worked great...quality excellent...only complaint (reason for 4 star overall rating) is that it was not perfectly clear from the new USB2 connector on the adaptor which way to orient the two mating USB2 connectors - I made an educated guess and it worked okay...hopefully, someone turning the connectors around will not break anything on the motherboard...
