But they did, and it's nice it didn't take up too much space. They're in individual wrappings, so you're not having to rig something up or use plastic bags. They lasted about 10 minutes or so each as I tested 6 while testing out a camping stove for Electric Picnic. Apparently you can take solid fuel. These did a small kettle with two mugs of water and mostly cooked some scrambled egg (1). I tried 4 mugs at one time and it got it more than warm but not boiling, so 2 + something else is probably good per tab. They work great and reliably boil two cups of water per tab. I used a little sliver of a fire plug to get them started which made things easier. The do smell, and they leave a tar type residue on the bottom of your pot but I just scrubbed this off using the ground after each boil.
