Review: Last much longer than others. Less comfortable. Runs small. - Let's start of with the issues. These run small and you'll need to buy a larger size. I typically wear a medium and had to go with a L/XL size. The knee pads follow the contour of your knee when your in a skating stance, so they can be uncomfortable when you straighten your legs. Honestly, these are minor inconveniences for the quality and durability of these pads. They will far exceed any other brand of pads out there. I have taken so many falls and the fabric is barely tearing. Of course, these won't last forever, but typically your knee pads will go first (if you're me anyway). These pads stay in place for most of my sessions, but they can move if you slide or land on them. The plastic plate on these pads is very strong and tends toward allowing you to slide through a bail rather than straight colliding with a surface. This is true even on concrete especially when using in conjunction with 187 Killer derby wrist guards. I have slid many times and the plate is still going strong. There is also some pretty thick foam padding in these pads that help reduce the shock to a great degree. Overall, I would try out Triple Eight Savers to see if you'll stick around. If you where those out, then these 187 Killer pads should be your next step, because they offer great protection, longevity, and quality at a more than fair price. These are great for inline skating, skateboarding, BMX, roller derby, and even ice skating.
Review: They are way better than triple 8s - I was very surprised on how comfortable these fit I got all black 187 killer pad set they are a L/XL and I’m 6’1 and weigh 165, You still have mobility with them and they help to keep your knees bent while skateboarding. The padding is very comfortable and the material is very strong and durable. It will take awhile for them to break in for more mobility.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will the small size fit an adult that is 5’0” 100lbs?**
A: There is a size chart on the 187 website. Pads typically fit very tight and inexperienced riders often say they are too tight. They are meant to be very tight so they will stay in place during movement or falls and are often uncomfortable for the first few uses. They will start to take the shape of your body as you continue to consistently wear them on the same body parts each time, meaning don't wear the left elbow pad upside down or on the right elbow one day and correctly the next. If you pay attention there is a right and a wrong way to wear them and the elbow is probably the most often mixed up out of all the pads. Also they will fit different when worn over long pants as opposed to when wearing them with shorts, or short sleeve vs long sleeves. Just expect them to be tough to put on and take off and a bit uncomfortable for the first while and you'll do better. My guess is that med/sm will work for your size but you'd want to check the site for possible fit suggestions first if you're not sure of your pad size. I'm about 165 lbs 5'10" and wear a med and love these pads. Happy to hear you're getting pads and not one of those too cool for pads or helmet types. You'll have a much longer skate life if you care less about other people's opinions and avoid the peer pressure. I knew someone who was very experienced and had a bad day that ended his life because he forgot to bring his helmet and borrowed one that he could not strap. Respect and love skateboarding and it will love you back.

**Q: Is it free shipping**
A: The one I ordered was, but it will say free shipping if it is.

**Q: What' the difference between the knee pads in this combo pack vs the fly knee pads that are sold separately?**
A: No difference

**Q: What' the difference between the elbow pads in this combo pack vs the elbow pads that are sold separately?**
A: The only difference is the back of the pad. This pad is a slide on pad and the backing on the regular version is a neoprene and the backing on the Combo Pack version is elastic.
