The Seiko manufacturing process is an in-house process, ensuring all watches are of the same excellent quality. Grand Seiko watches are completely made and manufactured in Japan. My SNE585 and I suspect yours as well has a China made Box, Bracelet, and Case. I am unsure of the Assembly location. Sub-Contract (Material & Labor) is the way business is conducted today. I replaced the band with an Uncle Seiko waffle strap. **Q: No papers/booklet was included.
