The screen was bubble wrapped. Tools were included but was not enough for the screen replacement process.As far as my opinion on this product, it came with what was advertised and so far works well 03/18/19 (will update if anything changes). The product does not come with instructions on how to replace the screen. I suggest you watch multiple youtube tutorials on how the process is on replacing your ipad screen.The Installation:I have a Model: A1489. Besides previously watching other similar videos... I followed a video by youtuber : Tim Wetzel β€œiPad Mini 2 screen replacement A1489 A1490...” ) Other tools I used: metro card (thin and able to squeeze between the top digitizer screen / tape (to keep screws organized) / tweezer (optional really) / microfiber (to clean the lcd) / hairdryer (warm the glue keeping the screen in place). I just took my time and probably took me an hour and a little more just to make sure everything is good and in its proper spot.The only complaints I have is the home button can easily catch under the screen but you can just reposition it if it goes out. The Home button is more clicky unlike the original from apple which feels more less effort to click (if you get what I mean). The screen protector it comes with does have a lot of particles on it. I’m most likely to get a tempered glass though but I’ll see how this screen works first.It does its job and works well. If you’re looking for a screen replacement, make sure you check if this product is compatible with yours and you should consider purchasing this product. Hope this review helps you out. It would be best if it came with instructions. I had to look through different YouTube videos to find one that is easy to follow. Be careful on unscrewing the LCD as it looks like Apple applied Loctite or some screw adhesive on these. This caused one of the screw to strip and I had a hard time removing it. I did notice some light bleeding during the initial power up after the screen replacement, sometimes it appears and sometimes it goes away but I guess this has something to do with the struggle I had with the stripped screw and I may have damaged something related to the flex cabling or the LCD itself. Nevertheless it looks good and functional and I can live with it as compare to throwing away the Mini Ipad itself. Great quality and very good price. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Digitizer and screen are bonded. But this product will not repair the typical damaged screen issue. Most of the ipad versions have the digitizer and lcd separate. But these versions aren't. I jumped to conclusions and ordered this not realizing they are bonded.
