Tomcat kills with a simple snap. The Tomcat Mouse Snap Traps are the pesticide-free way to control mice in your home. This reusable trap is easy to use, easy to set, and safer to use around kids and pets. You can rely on our trap to effectively kill mice for clean, no-touch disposal. To use, set by squeezing the back side of the trap. While baiting isn't required, using Tomcat Attractant Gel (sold separately) is recommended. Place a small pencil eraser-sized amount of attractant onto the back of the yellow trigger. Mice have a natural tendency to run along walls as they move from hiding to feeding, so place traps perpendicular to walls or cupboards where you've seen evidence of mouse activity, such as kitchens, basements, or garages. Once the mouse has been caught, just squeeze the back of the trap–your hands never touch the mouse! Each package contains 2 reusable mouse snap traps.

**Q: After purchasing tomkat mouse snap trap, I caught one mouse.  Now they can take the bait without triggering the trap.  Any suggestions?**
A: use peanut butter and bait outside the circle toward the hinged area. place some peanut butter on top of the inside area toward the hinged area. this way the mouse must climb further inside the trap for it to snap and capture them.

**Q: What do you bait them with?**
A: I use chunky peanut butter at the back of the trap beyond the circle. I have caught 7 mice in 5 days with a single trap.

**Q: Can these be used outside?**
A: I've used them just outside the front door - but with a wire attached (just drill two small holes in the side to loop it through and twist) to a paint stir stick, so the local carnivores don't run off with a free meal AND the trap.

**Q: Where is this manufactured ?**
A: The box says the traps are manufactured in China.

This is a very easy to use and effective trap for small mice. I found evidence of one in my kitchen and ordered this one with the recommended bait. Once the trap was set, problem was solved in less than an hour. Doesn't kill instantly but does eventually. No mess and reusable are other benefits. ### ⭐ Too small, too lightweight for a clean kill

I have a bad mouse problem this year, so I bought three different types of traps to test. The standard Victor wooden ones (works great, clean kill, but tricky and more dangerous to set), a Victor style with an easy set bar (Victor M140SSR 2-Pack Quick-Kill Mouse), and a bunch of these little clamp style ones from Tomcat. The plastic Victor ones with the red kill bar are far and away the winner for ease of set, clean kill, and easy to spot on the floor (so you don't catch your toes). Don't bother with these little Tomcat clamp style ones. The first night I heard the sound of plastic scraping across a hard tile floor, and knew that a poor little mouse was caught but not killed. I spent ages trying to find him, but couldn't until we pulled everything out of a closet the next morning and found him cowering in the back with the trap attached to his foot, where he had dragged himself and the trap from across the room in the night. The blow that killed him also busted the little plastic trap. Poor mouse, poor me. I won't use those Tomcat plastic clamp-style ones again. Too lightweight, insufficient tension to kill, probably too small to catch even a mouse. The mice can't live in my house, but I don't want them to suffer when they go.
