Downside is getting the cubes out of the mold. The mold is very flexible but you need to literally push out each row (turned faced down) as you are trying to empty the mold. Its not a quick, I need to get out the door with my iced coffee moment. Mold is starting to show a few tears between the dividers, it hasn't been an issue but worth mentioning.
