Review: Getting over the fear of programming - I've actually been sitting on a few Arduino based kits for some time, but only now have I started to program with the Arduino IDE since getting the Arduboy. Even with some technical background I've always had a fear of programming for some reason. With this device I've started to follow my own curiosity in terms of programming. I was about to get the Odroid GO, with a color screen, more buttons, inputs and outputs, memory card slot, wireless communications, and game system emulation, until I actually saw the Arduboy website. Because if I wanted to PLAY games I already have many capable portables, but to get started learning to MAKE games I wanted something easy enough to learn. The community open source games and tutorials on the Arduboy website sold me. I started with the game loader to play games at first. Then only after running into the loading problem that some games have did I have to use the Arduino IDE. After one night of frustration I figured out that I just needed to reinstall the Arduino IDE. Then I just started following the tutorials and my own curiosity. This listing from Seeed Studio ships from China! So the shipping might be more, and it came in a paper box, not the plastic 'food bag' shown in the picture. After ordering I noticed the other desertcart listing shipping from Robotshop, probably from the US. I've only gotten started. I haven't even reached graphics programming, but if I can learn to do that with 1-bit graphics then I can learn to program games on anything. This is a great place to start.
Review: I like this but little bit expensive - I bought this one for developing some apps for my own project. I like this BUT honestly, the price is little bit expensive
