Review: Really cool! - My son and I had a great time putting this together! It is very simple to assemble and can be done in less than 2 or 3 minutes. We took our time and sanded down the burs from breaking the pieces off and it still only took a about 8 minutes or so. Good short project for those that may not have great attention spans yet. He really loves it and keeps talking about how cool it is. He is learning to move his fingers out of the way when closing it and other knife safety practices. Great kit and really sturdy once assembled. I also think it is great that you can disassemble and reassemble it really easily so we can have fun pretending to maintain it! This seems way better than the wooden kits out there.
Review: My son's first Spyderco - My boy absolutely loves this thing! Very easy to assemble and a great way to teach how a lock back knife like this works. This is also a great way to teach younger children how to safely and properly handle a knife which will allow me to determine when I feel my son is responsible enough to use a knife of his own. Also, the glow in the dark plastic this knife is made out of is absolutely ridiculous! I never had a single glow in the dark toy that glowed this freaking bright! Seriously, this thing must put out at least 10-20 lumens of light when fully exposed/charged up. Lol

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What would be proper age group for this plastic kit?**
A: That's a complicated question... Some people make choices to grant their kids responsibility earlier and others later. We've always been in the 'early' camp - expecting our kids to rise to the occasion, and being willing to take things away if they show themselves incapable of being responsible. Maturity and carefulness aren't always tied to an age. There are teenagers who I wouldn't expect to make safe choices with a plastic knife, while I think my 5-year-old can.So, that said... This is a plastic knife with an exceedingly dull edge but a rather pointy tip. The plastic, while durable, wouldn't stand up to much abuse. I would suspect that _I_ wouldn't give this to a child younger than 4, but your mileage may vary.

**Q: Can the scales be swapped onto a real delica?**
A: No. They are far too thick.

**Q: Is this the glow in the dark model?**
A: It is. After a 15 minute charge, it will glow for 6+ hours.

**Q: Does it have a belt clip?**
A: It does not have a belt clip.
