**Q: In 3 unit mesh deal, all units are equal or one is master?**
A: Hi there! Great question - in the 3-pack of eero Pro 6E, all units are equal and each one of them can be used as the main one (Gateway), which will  connect to your modem.

**Q: Do you have to use ethernet ports with this wifi device**
A: Hi there! eero connects to your ISP equipment, typically a modem, using ethernet. It is only required to have an ethernet connection between your modem and one of your eeros, referred to as the gateway eero. Additional eeros on your network can be connect wirelessly (or wired) so an ethernet connection is not required unless you choose to wire them.

A: Hi there! There is no limit of how many eero units you can add to your network. Thick walls often cause the Wi-Fi waves to struggle reaching their expected coverage - this is normal and is due to the physics of the radio waves themselves. However, the key is with placing the units correctly - it would be best to reach out to our support team so that we can look at the details of your case.
