**Q: Hi what kind of stell is the blade crafted from?**
A: The blade says Pro Marine Stainless.  They claim it has properties similar to 440c with added anti-oxidation properties but they don't go into specifics.  Gerber's H1 series are more specific and claim it can't rust although some report that H1 steel doesn't hold an edge very well.  I have several Gerbers and none have rusted, but then neither has my Myerchin.  None have been subjected to a lot of salt water however so take it for what it's worth.  Good luck.

A: It's not lightweight, but not overly heavy. This has been my favorite everyday carry and work knife for almost 5 years.
