Another downside is they only give you 10 keto test strips so I had to buy another box of them. I'm still giving 5 stars despite the shortcomings as the meter itself is accurate and consistent. I don't use it so often now but the readings when I do are invaluable. Review: Excellent unit, but some confusion about using calibration formula - The unit is exceptionally easy to use. Don't bother with the long instruction manual, just watch the video how to use it. The unit is probably accurate without checking with the pre-calibrated formula. I tested it on me and my wife, and the readings seem sensible. Note that the instruction tells you to test it with the formula, but this formula cannot be purchased anywhere! I was very close to returning the unit for this reason, but I'm glad I didn't. All in all, very easy and quick to use. Versatile - can test uric acid, glucose and ketones. The lance is excellent. Also, some measurements are completely off, but this is only once in a while.
