The oil seems to be working well with the whetstone and is important in carrying off the near invisible metal flecks that proper honing generates. This bottle will last years of use. There is no unpleasant oder. You will be pleased with this purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works but be careful with the bottle *by C***N on 31 October 2022* This honing oil works to help shave down small amounts of metal, but be very careful with the bottle. The lid opening will absolutely hose anything nearby simply by tilting the bottle. The oil is extremely thin.
