I've already has two crabs molt and "rehome" into two of these shells. Great deal for a great price. Some shells may be too small for some crabs to move into. But the total collection alone is worth it for the price for what you'd pay at the petstore. Hermit crabs like these kinds of shaped shells because they can bury themselves in their enclosures easier too; if you use sand and coconut dirt like you're supposed to. What's too small for your crabs could easily be used for a arts and crafts project. One of ours was looking crowded so we got these. Sizes very mixed as shown in photos, but plenty in the range we needed. We boiled the ones we put in, then rinsed in dechlorinated water. In the first 24 hours, one of our crabs has switched in and back out of one of the new shells four times! Not sure what that is about but it hilarious. First move-in was within 20 minutes or so of seeing the new shells.
